ABSTRACT: The impact of early childhood education on school readiness is crucial for understanding how early educational experiences prepare children for formal schooling. This study explores how early childhood education programs influence school readiness among young children. The objectives are to (1) assess improvements in children's cognitive and social skills, (2) evaluate the effectiveness of school readiness activities in early childhood education curricula, and (3) examine changes in children's behavior and learning attitudes. A survey design is employed to gather comprehensive data on the impacts of early childhood education on school readiness. A purposive sample of 150 children  from preschools in Lagos State was used. The case study focuses on a preschool renowned for its robust school readiness program. Findings revealed significant improvements in children's cognitive and social skills, the effectiveness of school readiness activities, and positive changes in children's behavior and learning attitudes. Recommendations included integrating comprehensive school readiness activities into early childhood curricula and providing ongoing professional development for educators to enhance children's preparedness for formal schooling.
